UOA timing and holding samples

I will be changing oil in the months ahead and was wondering 2 things:

1) How many months can I hold a sample? Situation is a heated garage min temp will be 55f.
2) If my ATF change interval is 30k, will 15k be too early for a sample? I am contemplating just doing 15k Mityvac changes for about 50% of the fluid rather than a full flush at 30k.

Will the 15k UOA give me a good projection for 30k?

I wouldn't waste my money on an atf uoa if you were staying on top of it like you planned, unless it is a problem your looking for.

You need TAN for atf since TBN doesn't deplete like the motor oil.

Are you just doing the atf or oil too?

Storage in a sealed container should be fine.
