Does anyone know what a "mixed lubrication condition" is? Is that simply where the sump is not 100% one product?

Maybe they mean something like a system where hydrodynamic lubrication, boundary lubrication, and so forth all come into play, like in the average engine.

my previous ODI was on Toyota 0W-20 API SN ILSAC GF-5, plastic can, made in Sweden 09/19/2012. Virgin oil was tested month ago. Results are in the right column of original post.

S Ash = 0.91%
TAN=1.99
pour point =-46
CCS=6433 (borderline fail, but in limit of repeatability of the test method)

I think some of those variances could be within the realm of batch & lab error.

Do you know who is making the oil for Toyota in Sweden? Is it Mobil, Nippon Oil?
