Is it normal for the fluid level in a clutch hydraulic system to drop as the friction material on the pressure plate and disk wear away with usage, similar to what happens with the brake fluid level in cars as the pads wear?

Thanks!

Yes, same principle.

The clutch master reservoir level won't drop all that much over the life of a disc in my experience.
If you're seeing much or continued drop, you have a leak.
If it isn't getting worse, don't sweat it.
Just add a little brake fluid as needed.
It won't be much.

The Fingers on the Pressure Plate move out toward the Clutch Slave Cylinder in turn compressing the Slave Cylinder as the Clutch Disc wears, In theory the level should rise a little.

But this movement is very small.
The difference in thickness between a new disc and an unserviceable disc is very little, nothing like it is with brake pads.

My bad.....thinking backwards. Fluid,if anything should rise. Yep.

I had one start leaking but showed no outward signs. I figured it out by pushing on the boot. It was full of fluid and held a little pressure.

Yes, the boot on the slave cylinder was full of fluid.
