if you go back a few pages, (i read all 11 before posting my pic) a shell rep said (IIRC/paraphrasing) the formula shift actually happened mid 2013, all that's different between then and now, is packaging.

and going by this,

until they do clearance out the old stock/we use it up, there will be PPPP, and PUPP(or PPPU), as well as the old PP, and PU.

Me too. I think we have a long wait though since it is not an oil any mfg. specs IIRC.

I remember once upon a time that pp530 was considered thin enough to be a 0w30. Idk... I really want to see what the new ultra does (if anything different than now).

Well it's Wednesday, Feb 12th and I don't see the special PP thread for our questions....

As promised a few weeks ago, we want your community to be first to know. Given your level of knowledge and the wealth of posts in this thread, we want to give you all the opportunity to submit questions in advance of the official product launch taking place early this spring.

Beginning on Wednesday, Feb 12th, we will open a special thread for all of you to submit your questions to our team in advance of our launch. After a few days of collection, we will then take them back to the full team of scientists, engineers and brand reps to provide with answers to as many of the questions as we can a few weeks later. We’ll provide you with some of the specifics as we get closer, but be sure to keep an eye out for us.

Thank you all for the understanding and enthusiasm.

-The Pennzoil Team

Great deal, but alot of you are posting the same questions over and over.Take the time to see if that particular question that you have, hasn't been already asked before,it's gonna make their response time quicker as well.

Did they takes these documents off their website or just move them? The links do not work for me.
Also, any word on Ultra Platinum sightings or PDS?

I think they might have taken them down, they worked fine for me before now suddenly they don't.

I'm holding out for ultra-platinum. I just won't drive my car until then. Even though I'm not driving the car, how often should I be changing my oil? Is weekly often enough?
