Hi

I have a 2012 aurion (australian camry with V6) with 2gr-fe.

I can buy imported from the US, Honda HG semi-synthetic 5w-30 engine oil API SN and ILSAC GF-5. These specs are also recommended for use in my car.

Can I use the Honda oil in my Toyota?

I assume as long as it meets Toyota's viscosity and grade specs it will be fine?

Thanks

yes, at one point my Dodge(Chrysler) Neon had a Motorcraft (US brand for Ford Genuine parts, FoMoCo) Filter and Motorcraft Oil in it.
it was fine.
in fact Motorcraft filters are pretty popular with Jeep guys, for the old AMC 4.0l inline 6.(Jeep now owned by Chrysler, who in turn is now owned by Fiat)

People do this often and have no trouble.

A few years ago, many BITOGERS bought Ford Motorcraft oil on sale, and used it everywhere. Currently, many people are using "TGMO" meaning "Toyota Genuine Motor Oil" and use it in cars not made by Toyota.

Another thing to keep in mind is than many OEM oils were actually made by some major oil company, and then given a new label. Ford Motorcraft was made by ConocoPhillips, and many Toyota oils have bottles that are eerily similar to Exxon Superflo.
