Actually, anything CJ-4 rated is fine for your Dmax. That engine simply does not care as long as it's a HDEO rated for you application. That Napa lube will do just fine.

Hey, as long as the correct rating (or better)required for your Duramax, do it! I come from Rotella T, 5W-40 for the last 12 years. Started running just Delo, heck, I'd run Napa, I'll check.......and wouldn't you know??? Delo, we bought a pallet of it for just a hair over $10.00/gallon at Costco.....same mpg, same performance, motor doesn't act any different. Synthetic, I'm sure it has it's place, but there's a lot of "snake oil" out there. Run it! : )

Oh, in my signature, you can see my older car running Royal Purple........that's gonna get swapped out with a good dino 15W-40, thinking Delo will be perfect for it as well.....maybe Napa 15W-40?? : )

Shell's Rotella T6 5W-40 doesn't have the Japanese motorcycle wet clutch cert. Shell hasn't officially submitted it for certification. Shell says that it would meet the standard if they did pay to certify it. This is only for marketing. I know of no other HDEO that says this.
