FWIH PU will be discontinued soon along with PP. If this is true, as some oil experts contend, they will have a new synthetic. Pennzoil ultra platinum rolling out soon.

It's probably the Helix product packaged in the US friendly Ultra packaging.

This is not conjecture or hearsay.

They are both on the shelf right now at my local Autozone.

The bottle looks just like this....

Did you check is it API SM or SN?
Also, 0W40 is not Euro spec.

Didn't check to see if it's SM or SN on the bottle.

Pennzoil's site says SM.

I'll get back by there tomorrow.

I don't really understand a non-euro spec'ed 0W-40 except it's got Dodge Viper on the bottle.

Pennzoil is master of confusion.
Their spec sheet says it is SN (which is also Shell Helix in Europe), and it has same spec like SN SHell Helix. But they sell it in bottles that says SM.
Also, it says NOACK is 11%, but meets MB 229.5, which means it need to be UP TO 10%.
0W40 is Dodge SRT application, not Euro application.
They need to get their business together.

The old API SM Ultra spec sheet said 11%. The current API SN Ultra spec sheet says 6.8%.

Yeah, but are you sure you getting SN version?

I was talking about what the spec sheet says, not what's in the bottle.

I returned to Autozone tonight for some photos of the new Pennzoil Ultra offerings

The API SM marked 5W-40 Euro

Back of the bottle. SOPUS mixed this batch up on December 12th

And the Viper spec API SN marked 0W-40

I just changed the oil in my brother's 325i BMW 2005 model year, purchased Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic European Engine 5W 40 SN approved at $67.00 for a 12 qt case from the local QS distributor, just an FYI.
TOTO.
