How To Re-Fill Small Grease Bellows ?

I recently obtained a small bellows type greaser with a thin metal tip for greasing tight places (firearms) . How is the best way to fill these or the 10cc to 12cc type syringes used to hold grease for firearms ? Thanks in advance for suggestions on how to re-fill !

Compress the bellows, still the tip in the end of the desired lubricant and release?

For grease it doesn't work so well ...I'm now thinking to take a popsical stick and apply grease inside of a syringe then shoot the grease into the opening of the bellows greaser (without the tip installed) . * The small bellows greaser seemed like a great idea - until it came time to fill the darn thing !
