I'm going to be changing the flexplate in my T100 truck Sunday. It recently developed a crack with accompanying noise. It was because of high mileage as I've seen on Toyota forums. So, I need to separate engine from trans. It's a 3.4 V6 2wd with the A340 automatic. My plan is to pull the upper two bellhousing bolts and inset two M14x1.5 bolts probably 10 inches long to serve as guide pins, then support the bottom of the trans with a floor jack and slide the trans back far enough to allow access to the flexplate, then slide it all back together.
Where would you recommend looking for bolts like this? The length would need to be at least 200mm.

Thanks

Check with engine builders; they might use them for head bolts and since they're Torque to Yield they'd have a bunch "only used once" in the metal bin.

Though they might only be 6 inches long or so.

Also try Fastenal and McMaster Carr.

You may be able to source some threaded rod and then you can cut to whatever length you need. May be easier than finding bolts of the proper length.

I love McMaster-Carr.
I have a wall of bins in the shop with hardware bought from them over the years
