PH6811 Discontinued

Does anyone know if the PH6811 has been discontinued or superceeded by the PH3593A? Considering the fact that it is nearly impossible to buy anything but Fram filters in Canada, and reading a few posts in here, the 6811 is a superior filter to the 3593. But a trip to my local wallmart the other night was fruitless - no 6811's in stock, and no stickers on the shelf to show that they exist anymore.

Although I no longer use Fram filters, I am familiar with the numbering system - esp for Honda/Acura engines.
The 3593A is nearly identical to the 6811 and far more popular.
It can be substituted without problem.
You will find the screw threads are recessed a bit differently between the 2 filters but they mount just fine. Other than that - no difference.

You can get almost as many brands in Canada as anywhere else. You should look around and you will find a lot more variety than Fram in ON.

I think there are like 20 6811's at my local walmart. They are all old and made when owned by Allied Signal. they are identical to this filter

Uh, your local WalMart is going to stock the fastest moving part numbers, not the full line of Fram filters or any other brand.

Surely you must have real auto parts stores there somewhere, eh?
