Late Christmas present - Mossberg 500

[OVERKILL]

Wife presented me with my Christmas present today. For obvious reasons she couldn't give it to me when we were down east:

Mossberg 500 Turkey

Comes with 4 chokes:
- Turkey
- Full
- Modified
- Improved

And 3x barrels:
- 28"
- 24"
- 24" rifled

Looks like I won't need to buy that 870 after all, LOL!!! Going out tomorrow to toss some buck through it

Yeah, it seems like a really nice gun! I remember somebody mentioning a Mossberg when I made the thread about the 870, so I think it is kind of funny that this was what I ended up with, LOL!

That sounds like something out of the Terminator, LOL! I did notice that was doable though, which I thought was neat.

I've got the wood butt stock with mine and the polymer pistol grip. It's much fun to walk around with that thing in a pistol grip.

I had a mossberg defender 88. It came with 28" and 18.5" barrels and full, improved and modified tubes. also had composite stock, It was an excellent gun handled very nice, light and durable. wish i hadn't traded it for a Parker Hale semi.

Touch a gun without proper authorization here and you get a 1-5 years all payed vacation.

Own any type of ammo without authorization and you get 2-7.

Throw a few 3 1/2 inch turkey loads downrange and see how it feels, my 870 with those in it has ferocious recoil. Hardest kicking shotgun I ever fired.

Can still have "some" guns, just not "evil" assault thingies like the OP just got...LOL.

As to feeling safer, there's a strong rumour that the registry got hacked, and now the thieves have a shopping list to work through.

This takes up to 3" shells, would need the 535 to handle the 3.5's.
