Saw this stuff in the clearance bin at Walmart. According to the website it is a Group V base stock with insignificant toxicity and high biodegradability. Motor oil one can drink? Anyone heard of this stuff?

It's a bio-ester derived from beef tallow. Good oil. Price isn't smoking hot, but if you need to do a change, may as well take it.

That's a huge rip. Members have posted about the G-Oil jugs being $30 or less in a B&M store.

Pretty sure he means the $21 at WM vs the Amazon price.

There's quite a few UOAs of G-Oil in the sub-forum as well. Surprised you've never heard of it in the 8 years you've been on BITOG wink

Not as surprised as I. To my credit though, I was active on BITOG for the first couple years, became a daddy, took a 5 year hiatus, only recently returned to active status.

My Wal-Mart cleared out the 5 quart containers for $13 and the 1 quart containers for $3. I passed.

I would have also accepted "I only hung out in the food forum" as well.

J/k, belated congrats wink and the G-Oil will work just fine!

Check the dates on the clearance tags and ask the TLE manager if they will drop the price. It has probably been on clearance at those prices for 6-9 months. I asked at a local WM a few months back and got a bunch for $12 for the 5 quart jugs and $2.50 for the singles. However, it is hit and miss because the TLE manager at another WM I visited a few weeks ago would not budge on the price, despite it being on clearance since March and them having 50+ quarts on hand. I have a pretty big stash, so I was unwilling to buy at those prices.

They used to have free after rebate deals 2-4 times per year , plently of UOA and VOA of this oil.

Very good oil , use with confidence.

They no longer offer those deals so there isnt much talk about it. Most of us rather pay couple more bucks and buy mobil1.
