The local drugstore is closing out on Fram air filters for $3.99. I do not like their oil filters but how are their air filters?

My reference is opposite with you, if Purolator is the same price or anywhere near the price of a Fram, I'd buy Fram. Fram air filter looks like better quality and fits the air box better than Purolator.

I regularly maintain two vehicles and both of them have Fram Extra Guard filters. I don't like their oil filters but you really can't mess up an air filter. Use with confidence and enjoy the money you're saving getting them for cheap.

I am not a Fram oil filter user either but I do use their air filters. They seem pretty well made.

Not a fan of their oil filters, but have no problems with their air filters. FRAM is basically all I run due price and availability. Run with confidence

Their air filters don't seem any more or less durable than the standard ACDelco, Wix, and Purolater filters I often encounter.

I cut myself on one years ago. The foam is soft and the edges of the wire mesh can poke through that. I know the flexibility isn't really an issue, but I've avoided them ever since even though I have no opinion on their effectiveness when properly installed.

Not a thing wrong with them. Good value for the money.

Same here! I have always liked FRAM air filters better than most other easily obtainable air filters on the market such as Puro, STP, store brands.

I just swapped out the air filter in my Regal, going to a Fram Extra Guard. Imagine my surprise when I opened the air filter box, to find it already had a Fram EG in there, and clean and new-looking at that. I put my new one in, but I'll keep the original as a backup.
