What is the shelf life of this additive? I found a bottle in my garage that is probably 3 years old.

X 2.

I dunno, a decade? Maybe longer. The shelf life is not quite 'forever', but there's very little that can go bad.

My car is running fine. I found the Lucas Oil while cleaning out the garage and figured the easiest way to dispose of it was to run it through my car. Suppose I could just add it to waste oil containers and send it to the recycle center.

I read an article at edmonds that says the days of the 'Thick' additives are gone and these companies that promote such products are far behind with the current technology.

Small amounts would be OK to use but 20% will give you more headaches than you need. I tried the stuff once and dropped the oil 100 miles later LOLZ
