Not doubting the OP, just wondering how a customer would go about confirming that they are paying $1 above the store cost. Have some kind of invoice to show the buyer? Interesting promotion concept though.

No catch. Take a Tire Rack price list in with you and see.

There is no other obligation. Rotations are free for the life of the tires. And I like their lifetime alignment program--pay 2X first time then get an alignment every time you rotate your tires. They're hard to beat really. Plus, since it's a national chain, if you have a problem while traveling, you can get road hazard coverage just about anywhere. Sure, they'll try to sell you other stuff while your there but whadda ya expect? It ain't an org.

you can see the tire price if you go to the website I just did on my phone. I think the catch is the tires are really expensive, and they didn't have very much selection for my car. mavis tires where I live has much better prices.

Are you allowed to buy them carry-out and mount them yourself (for those of us with tire changers at home)??

This is just a guess but, I'm going to assume it's a poke at Firestone quality.

Yeah... What? Don't know how I stirred Indy's pot but I did plenty of research before buying. Great tires btw, put them on yesterday.

FWIW last time they had this I checked out the prices and they were still not that cheap, its prob $20 off the "normal price". BTW Tire Rack's prices aren't the best out there either. At least in SoCal I personally know 3 shops that list cheaper than Tire Rack's price every time and this doesn't include what Tire Rack costs to ship.
