OP here...the thread contained link to the updated (2012) version of the aforementioned handbook,which can be seen on the company website.Also a link to an uploaded on the harmless 2008 version of the same Handbook ....and Crankcase Lubricant excerpt of the 2002 revision.
Maybe I souldn't have mentioned the company name (nonsponsor link...)?Any violation of the rules was unintended.
Anyway, the Handbook can be freely downloaded from the Company website.A compilation worth having IMHO.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had the 2008 version, but not the 2012. This compilation of various oil specs used to be published by Ethyl back in the day.

Gentlemen, the 2013 revision of the lubricant handbook sheds some more light on the new MB 229.52 (low-SAPS)category :

... and now includes the 2012 ACEA Oil Seq.
