How many O2 sensors does a '95 Ford 5.8L have?

I'm slowly performing a Stage 0 on my truck and was wondering how many O2 sensors this engine uses. 1995 Ford 5.8L.

Going to use this Bosch unit from Amazon. Good ratings and price.

When you basically restore a car to running condition, or undo a bunch of junky modifications the previous owner did.

OP: it depends. It shouldn't use a cat monitor since that as not required. That should just have an EGO or HEGO on each side. Just to be clear, Ford's of that ear do not use oxygen sensors, they use EGOs, HEGOs, and cat monitors. Check the door jamb for a calibration code sticker and I can check to see what it had.

If it has OBDII, then it has two. Most likely it uses EEC-IV and only has the one Os sensor before the cat, just like my 1995 Escort.

Checked your calibration code and it should have 2 EGOs, but it may only have one total. It is OBD1, so there is no cat monitor.

Look at each exhaust manifold and downpipe. If you find a sensor in each manifold or downpipe, you have 2 sensors. If downstream of the Y-pipe there is a sensor, you have 1 sensor.

Carefully read the O2 sensor application guide, it wouldn't surprise me if some models had 2, some had one, and all of the sensors are made differently from each other.
