Polaris factory filter vs XG7317

Nothing too exciting. The Polaris filter seems to be a Wix. You can get a Gold at Napa for the same or less, or a Silver for considerably less. It was run only during the break-in period, for something like 10 hours with the factory oil. The Fram was run for 50 hours with Mobil1 15-50. The damage to the Fram is from me destroying the can to get at the element. It was quite sturdy.

Thanks for another boring filter autopsy ( : < ). In case you didn't get it,
"boring" is good in this case and that's really what we should be seeing most of the time. If only it was ALL the time, eh?

Yup - this is good to see, and typical of "normal" use.
