where do you all get the info. that donaldson has a high flow? when i called donaldson the filter that fits my 5.4 and 4.6 fords are small and flows only 4gpm...terrible!!

You want the FLEETGUARD "Stratapore" filter (owned by CUMMINS).

Do a search on part #LF16002; call to confirm Stratapore status.

From what I could find donaldson has not made a filter to fit the m22 thread yet, but fleetguard has as the tan sedan quotes.

www.fleetguard.com

I got fleetguard to fax me a specification sheet for their lf3487. They list specs of 10 micron 73% efficient, 30 micron 100% efficent on the j1858 multpass test. Rated flow 14.27gpm.

Donaldson would only send parameters like nominal 7 micons and 23 microns absolute. No flow numbers.

Right now I have a donaldson p169071 on my slant six with mobil1 ss 10w-30. Plan on doing a uoa at 5000 miles to see how it does.

i have used donaldson filters on my 4.6 and 5.4 before and they are very small...i just got some fleetguard filters #lf3681 these things have really big holes inside and on top i wonder what the flow rate is? the guy at the mccandles trucks said these have the stratapore medium please let me know about the flows...he didn't have the upgrade lf16002 the only difference he said that it was longer...yet the specs say the same.

fleetguard sent me a spec sheet on the lf 3681 and the lf 16002 the upgrade with stratapore medium and the only difference is that the lf16002 filters 100% at 30u and the lf 3681 filters 95% at 30u...to me if you change oil at reg. intervals then the 16002 stratapore medium is not needed......the flows are the same the restirtions are the same...except what i mentioned above...
