Yes I took the picture at the seam, which was the only area with folding problems. The rest looks quite uniform. I used Mobil Super 5000 and a Purolator Classic for the oil change in her 1992 Cavalier Z24. This is the last oil change as she will be trading it in within a year. She is strangely attached to this car, but it is time to put the thing out to pasture.
 
Most troubling pic is of the flattened pleat area looking from inside the center tube cage. When the ecores fail it seems to be in those areas where the media blows out. Seems unique to ecores too.

Good news here is it appears this MGL3387a survived, ie., didn't fail.

Yep, that's exactly where they do it. I ran one for only 6 days once (took it off due to horrible rattle) and it already had visibly flattened pleats in that short amount of time. Scary. Have not let an ecore near any of my vehicles since.
