I have an oil change coming up and I have 4 ST 6607 and two ST 2808 in my inventory. The last two years I have been using Bosch oil filters. has anyone used the small ST6607 size filter and lived to tell about it?

I have a 1.5 Liter engine for what it's worth.

I had a 1993 Ford Escort GT with the 1.87 DOHC Miata engine in it. I used the 6607 Equiv in the car and changed the oil every 3000 miles. The car had 120,000 miles when I sold it, and it still ran good. -Joe

Not me. Go with the ST-2808- its the same bypass setting (11-17 psi) and it's 50% bigger. I understand ST 3950 will work also but I don't know for sure. Nor do I know the bypass setting. You can use the K&N HP-1010 (Thats what I use) or the Mobil 1 110. I forget the Bosch#, The Purolator is 14620-I'm sure you know that though.

I agree with Al. If your ST 6607s are still boxed, just take 'em to WallyWorld and tell 'em your ol' lady bought the wrong filters (Dang THAT woman!) and that you want to exchange 'em for ST 2808s. 6607s definitely have their place - tricycles, roller skates, Tonka Trucks, "Happy Meals" toys, etc...

Ray, I have taken so much back to the Walmart by my neighborhood, that I have been banned from returning things for 6 months

I still have some prestone radiator cleaner and prestone super flush still unopened. I bought it four years ago. I wonder if I should return that as well.

Actually the size called by vehicle manufacturer. The Nissan OEM filter is that size.
