Never heard of using WD-40 before, I'll have to try that. I have used Marvel Mystery Oil before and it works great. I've seen it free many stuck engines in antique tractors. My neighbor had an old Allis-Chalmers model C with a rusted stuck engine. Did a piston soak with Marvel Mystery Oil and it freed the engine. He did end up rebuilding the whole engine though.

I was kinda thinking this too. The jeep 4.0 is supposed to be tough right?

It's tough, but you can't make it tough to resist a careless owner.

I've sprayed down the tops of pistons and let set over night(head off, didn't want cylinders to maybe rust), next day the carbon was fluffed up like popcorn and for the most part wiped off easily...

Yes, mine has been on a diet of Amsoil since 18k(when I got it) except for three 5000 mile tests with different oils, and the current fill of PP going on 1500 miles.
