That's an excellent report!

I'm clueless about oxidation/ nitration numbers. What would a critical/condemning number be for those (at least with Polaris) ? Is there any general limit to watch for?

What is turnaround time for Polaris results?

Again, nice report on that hummin' cummins!

The turn around time according to Polaris was one day at their lab. The rest (about 2 weeks) was shipping. (Hmmmmmmm).

I am reading more about oxidation and nitration myself, so may get a better answer soon.

But oxidation is the deterioration of the base oil, where TBN is the same for the additives. Both are important. I am reading to some extent that nitration is most important in natural gas engines.
