I disagree however. Its so easy to obtain now and cheap so why complain? You want the govt to legalize it so they can tax it and take more of our money?? Keeping it illegal doesnt cost anything. Last thing you want is the govt legalizing for tax purposes. Legalizing it allows everyone access. Right now your doctor can prescribe medical marijuana. i know in the USA its alot more serious, getting caught with it here is a slap on the wrist...

I agree with you. She is Chinese and all the social stigma prevents her from seeking a marijuana prescription even if it is legal.
She is scared to use it too... So many years of politicians demonizing the plant has gotten to her, and I understand why she feels that way.
I'll try talking to her about it again and mention the doctor's prescription. She should get it!!

I guess in those states that aren't legalizing it I suppose. I think I read that 19 states are legalizing it,and it has the same basic restrictions as booze does. Can only be grown by a licensed grower,paperwork has to be in order etc.

State can legalize it, but Federal government doesnt recognize it, considers it still illegal. My older brother has a friend still in prison in Washington state for breaking the federal law, even though Washington state law legalized it. Its screwed up here in the USA.
