Surprised the DIESEL FUEL ONLY label is not hand written or one of those impact labels.

I always had an affinity for these cars. Only worth $3000 to me.

CRACKPIPE price for sure.

At that time I owned two Ford diesels. An Escort and a Tempo, both with the Mazda 2.0 diesel. I considered buying a used Continential with the BMW diesel, but backed out. If Ford comes out with a diesel in the Fusion I might go for it if the price is reasonable.

My uncle had an '84 Continental with the BMW diesel. He had been a diesel mechanic in the navy, and maintained it meticulously until he died in '99. I should have bought it from his estate.

Same here, I had no idea. I wouldn't want it under any conditions but it is unique.

+3, never even heard of one. Friend of mine at work has a '84 or '85 Escort with a diesel. Finding oil filters is troublesome.

Those old Lincolns were and are nice cars. I guess that was when the first light of the new dawn was beginning to glimmer here and there for the American car companies after the dark ages of about 1970 or so.

Pep Boys sells them, last I checked.

(Mine was an 84.)
