LC20 Initial Dose

Is there a reason for the 1 oz per qt initial dose of LC during an oil change and then only 1 oz total per 1000 miles after that?

I seem to recall reading that an active part of LC20 evaporates after 1000 miles or so. With that in mind, wouldn't it be better to add the 1 oz per qt of LC after a couple thousand miles, not right at the beginning when the native oil TBN is at its highest?

not sure why they reccomend that, but it seems to work, my engine likes it atleast

I believe not all of the LC evaporates, only a small portion. Obvoisly adding 1OZ per quart may overfill some engines.
