If yes the dealer has little to no incentive to sell. Typically they make there money on you paying finance charges or over inflated car payments you pay there along with warranties. Dealers in this price range sell that stock to attract the certain buyer element onto the lot likely with no credit and a dime to their name.

Not to sell to cash customers...


Just finance it then pay it off the next day.

Let me put it another way, if they aren't chasing you throwing out lower prices as you walk to your car then they've given you the lowest price you're going to get. Even then I don't recommend buying during the first visit. You're right they need you, you don't need them, and going in with that attitude helps. A good salesman knows who is an easy sell and who is a tough sell, and if he doesn't he'll either learn it, or starve and seek another profession.
