Looky what I found under the house

Gearing up to do a laundry renovation in the old downstairs laundry (common in this town is laundry outside, at some stage this one was abandoned, and moved inside when they moved the bathroom in)...when we do the laundry, there's a few more feet of floor space in the house proper to be a computer room/study.

There was an old cupboard rotting away down there holding up junk, and we took it to the dump today.

When it was properly upended, I noticed that one of the shelves was printed (old used packing).

Sweet find! I'd hang that one up somewhere. Not everyday you find something like that.

I find it so cool, how people used to utilize everything for a purpose. Now everyone just throws everything away. Back in the day, they used trash to make some very interesting useful stuff. I used to love to go to estate auctions and sales of old house from the twenties. You see so much stuff made from old boxes, mason jars, coffee cans whatever and everything.
