Well I had a 94 2.0 DOHC non turbo eclipse (142k miles on the odometer), It was driven by an idiot ricer before I bought it.
It didnt have sludge problems, just black tarry nasty oil under valve cover, plus it ate oil.
I put in Auto-Rx while having 128 miles on the oil then ran it for 3.5k miles because I did not have time to change the oil.
The car still eats oil at a very unhealthy interval of about .06 quarts per 300 miles but when I look under the valve cover it looks clean as a whistle, not evel yellow varnish.
The car is mechanically sound excep the fact that it needs new lifters due to retard's in mitsubishi engeneering depratament and old age of car.
