Hi guys,
Well went out and purchased a new to me '93 Corvette
convertible, LT1, Auto, 59K.
The car has never seen winter and is in excellent shape.

I am considering Auto Rxing the trans and possibly
the engine but as the engine specifies synthetic
oil I am wondering about the rinse phase as it
requires dino juice.

What results have we seen with using auto rx in
the trans? The tranny is due for a change.

Your motor really isn't that exotic the ONLY reason it states synthetic as GM cheaped out and didn't put an oil cooler on it.

For piece of mind you could use Rotella T synthtic 5w-40 being a diesel targetted oil and a little thicker than factory specs it will hold up to whatever heat you throw at it just fine and being a group 3 "synthetic" it will work just fine with the AutoRX.

I have run this oil in BOTH my LT1s one of which get dragraced often and has no oil cooler and lugs around a whole lot more car. One is a signifigantly modified Caprice which is the same shortblock as your car but more like 360fwhp at this time, the other is in a 95 Roadmaster wagon which I believe I posted a Rotella UOA on within the last year. That car still has an oil cooler but only because it came with the 5000lbs towing package.
