Are you saying you've heard of people using ATF fluid in hydraulics or vise-versa?
I just ran into an air compressor that was supposed to be used a food grade ISO32 compressor fluid and it was running general motors ATF fluid. My face was red from slapping my palm on it.

I know this is an OLD thread but.... there are many all out drag cars using Hy-guard in their turbocharged cars. Most are GM based powerglide transmissions and they see lower temps during a pass. I'm not talking about Little Billy's loud camaro. I'm referring to 1500 to 2500 HP combo's.
