should i use this in my 98 mustang gt with the 4r70w auto transmission? I have 94,000 miles and just recently had the tranny flushed with mercon v. I want my tranny to last as long as possible. i have already added an external tranny cooler. Any one have experience with this product? Should i add it?

i have that same tranny in my vehicles and i use redline d4 atf and a bottle of lubegard platinum..when i changed the atv last week instead of the platinum i use lubegards m-v for mercon5

Changing the tranny fluid at < or equal to 30,000 miles is the best step for longevity.

If this is the first time you have had a tranny fluid change, I would change it again at 100,000 miles.

It is slips because it is worn out, don't bother.

If you think that it slips because of crud buildup, toss in a bottle of lubegard red or Aamco protectant.

Once a tranny starts slipping because of wear, don't expect it too last a long time. Don't drive aggressively.

A shift kit or valvebody mod might also reduce some of the slippage.
