Mercruiser Marine 20W-40 Full Synthetic oil

Not sure, but you have a pre and post O2 sensor, then a single catalyst brick in each manifold.

The catalyst bricks are close to $1000 each

Would the use of a higher zinc and phosphorus damage the catalyst in the short term ? I highly doubt it, but I'm sure if you have a warranty claim they're going to be asking to see service receipts, etc, for the oil

Like I said before, Indmar marine uses a catalyst also on their engines, but they recommend an API SL marine 15w-40 pennzoil.

The funny thing is the 20w-40 synthetic doesn't appear on the FC-W certification list, but is sold as such.

The main page where I found the link also shows the lists for previous years, for what it's worth.
 
I found it on the FC-W CAT oils page. didn't know they had different categories. oops!
