Walking thru SEARS automotive spotted the mentioned wrench. My first impression was that it was cheap. Copied the name and investigated. I am impressed that MOTOR magazine gave it a positive review.
Lucky for me that it doesn't fit my vehicles, according to their application chart. Hence no need for me to consider to buy it.

Problem with that wrench is you still have to clean the rubber bellows after removing the filter. Good luck with that.
I have one of these and removed the bellows. I use the baggie trick and the filter and baggie go for disposal, no fuss, no mess, and no cleanup headache.

Instead....IMO...you should have looked for a "Chain Pipe Wrench". That will get the job done.....real fast and no mess great for cramped quarters. Just slide the chain around the filter and attach to the wrench. This Wrench will move any stubborn oil filter that needs to be removed and replaced.

I've still not found one "Spin on Canister" filter that it will not remove..... with minimum effort.

No mess oil change? Pffft. If you're worried about a little bit of mess.. you should probably be paying someone to do your oil changes for you. I am slowly getting better at making less mess at oil changes. At first I made a LOT of mess. Now I don't.. and I at least partly prime the new filter with fresh oil before installing it. It only takes 10 extra seconds so why not?

I like my oil filter wrench of this style:

It crushes the filter to remove it if it's on very tight or has a thin casing, but I'm not the type to cut them open and examine them.

If I was, I'd use this kind or the kind that fits on the end of the filter and uses a socket wrench.

Every time I remove the oil filter in my 2006 GMC Envoy oil spills all over the subframe and I end up having to spend considerable time to clean up the mess. So this is something to consider and the OFR01 fits the WIX 51522 oil filter ... thanks.

Wouldn't it be easier to drape a large rag over where the oil spills?
