Although I know the car is new to the U.S., does anyone have any experience with oil choice on the new ST (especially any UOA)? I'm thinking about a change to M1 0W30, which is in keeping with the manufacturer's specs, but wondered about experience on this board.

Thanks.

On my parents 2013 Escape with the same engine (2.0 Turbo, DI) it has a maintenance minder that you set 5000, 7500 or 10,000.

Got the Volvo B5254T3 in that, yes? I'd google around on some Volvo boards to see what kind of oil the turbo guys are using. Any proper synth should correlate nicely with the OLM. Don't be scared!

EDIT: my mistake. 2013 uses the 2.0L

As long as you are using a 5w30 or 0w30 that meets Ford WSS-M2C946-A, you are good to go.

any 5w-30 / 0w-30 should be fine

Because of the DI and Turbo I would use a high quality synthetic and good filter .

Pur1 for filter
Mobil1/PP/PU/QSUD should be fine choice as far as the oil goes

I would really do a UOA if you want to make sure your OCI matches how much you beat the engine with turbo and what not.

Enjoy the car,
Its BEAUTIFUL!

Not for a new car under warranty.

I sat in one at the NYIAS....
Sharp looking, Really fine seats/clutch/shifter.
Problem:
As i got in to the drivers seat for the first time, that first bolster really crunched a uh....
Certain and important area.
it really soured me on that car.
Sorry to hijack the topic.
