I'm looking for an alternative for this VW Polyurea Grease that's quite a lot and very expensive:

I'm going to be using it for my car's 5 speed manual shift lever guide made of PVC that contacts with aluminum:

So far, I've used moly grease form WalMart and I wonder if this will be enough. Last year, I used just regular grease from a grease gun tube and after it dried out, my shifter experienced some notchiness. After greasing it with moly grease it shifts much better, but I don't know how long this will last and if it's the right grease for these two different materials.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would try Red Line CV2 grease as I think it's a high-performance polyurea.

What I'm using for that type of application is silicone grease, specifically Dow-Corning 111 (aka plumbers grease). You can find it at some hardware/plumbing stores but it seems to be more common at industrial supply shops. It never dries and is water-proof. Similar to the grease used for urethane bushings, but not as stiff or tacky.
