Hi. I have a street/strip Chevy 350 that I did a head swap on two winters ago. I recall how much carbon was on the pistons, and because I'm going to swap this engine out at the end of the season, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to conduct a somewhat rigorous test of MolaSoak... or water, or Seafoam, or something else. I'll at least look at the pistons through the spark plug holes and exhaust ports, or I might tear it down completely; it depends on what I decide to do with the engine.
So what do you think? Decent experiment design, considering its opportunistic nature? Which treatment should I test? If I test something that is also supposed to clean the rings (which I bet are carbon'd up too), I can also do a before and after compression test.
