Anybody have any experience with this oil? They require you e-mail them for a PDS, so that's what I've done.

There's a Canadian distributor not all that far from me. There's a number of them in the US. Seems their industrial lubes are popular here.

Has a higher VI than PU 5w-40....... No mention of NOACK though unfortunately. Nor CCS or MRV.

Hmm... I didn't realize SOPUS updated the PU 5w-40 PDS as of January of this year. VI is lower than it used to be. On the other hand, it has a nice low NOACK of 6.8%.

For your information,
Fuchs can make some top quality oils and their 10/40 is very popular with truckers and farmers in Germany. It would be good to see what the VOA was like and Blackstone might do one for free with your next UOA if you ask them, because they like to have a VOA database of all the different oils in current use.
If there are any Fuchs fans around I would like to see a VOA of their diesel 10/40 bulk oil, as I can get it for free, but have no real idea what is in it, as it is a commercial bulk oil.

Their XTL line is far more appealing, in my opinion.

That oil will work fine but I wouldn't pay more than $7/qt for it.

Their XTL doesn't have an LL-01 oil in it though

But with M1 0w-40 being $5/qt around here, I don't think that's going to happen.

Hard to beat M1 0W40 at $5/qt. You can get a little less than $5/qt but not as good, or you can get an oil just as good or may be a little better but will cost you a lot more, 40-50% more or higher.

I wouldn't think so with respect to the LL-01 version

OK GT-1 5w40 is the low/mid SAPS option. For some reason I thought the Supersyn range was at least low in ZDDP but I can't find any evidence of that.

Those meeting LL-04 spec would be mid/low SAPS, IMO.

Yup, agreed.

Yeah, but this is EXOTIC!!! LOL! Plus, I already have 14L of M1 0w-40 in my stash, it isn't a very diverse group here
