Yes the K&N HP series filters are good filters. IMO they are overpriced (unless you really need the nut on the end) but with the AAP deal they are basically free, so I would certainly not hesitate to use them.
+1 on K&N filters I used them in the past on my Evo's, used them for street and track and my UOA's came out clean as a whistle. To me that proves it to be a good filter. I would use them without hesitation.
Fine print on the AAP advetisement says "any filter up to $16.95". I choose two M1 filters yesterday instead of K&N on the PP deal and submitted online for $20 back.
