I just got a 05 Sienna with the 3.3 V6. I soon reach 400mi on the ODO and plan to change the oil out. New oil will be Chervon 5w30 and Bosch 3330 oil filter (those will cost me less than $5 for the oil change). Next oil change will be @ 1500 or 2000mi then 5000mi OCI with OEM filter as OEM specs.
Can or should I use LC, FP or Synpower Oil booster....etc? I plan to go with synthetic when the engine has 10k mi on them. I have a huge quatity (86+qt) of GC

waiting for me to touch!

I break in by mixed method:
-Varies the rpm
-Some WOT (5000rpm, red line start @ 6500rpm)
-No more than 60mph for the first 200mi
-Sometime go 75mph after 200mi

MPG is poor @ 17.7mpg for 80 local/ 20 highway full A/C

17.7MPG with A/C on in LA Traffic and you're complaining?

Wait 1500 miles before using LC, since you want the rings to seat. You can start using FP from day one.

No need to add Synpower Oil Treatment to GC. GC is already a borderline 30wt/40wt and even Valvoline Synpower Oil Treatment added at 1oz/quart will tip it to a 40wt.

GC @5000 mi. OCIs as required by warranty is a complete waste of GC, I'd look into Schaeffer's instead @$3/qt with a $250 order with salesrep. (Sorry to take this OT)

Other than that, sounds like you have a solid plan. Do a UOA to show us the performance of GC/LC!

Michael
