How many miles on it? I think you'd be surprised if you ran some AFE 0w-30 in it and cut open the filter. I can almost guarantee you'll have loads of black carbon in the filter. That was my experience with the Expedition (and M1 0w-40) which had experienced bulk oil prior to our ownership.
