I'm going to produce a full report with uoa and smog test when done but there is progress to note. The car is an 84 Civic with 379k miles (head never off) and I'm almost 500 miles into the clean cycle. The surprise is that, with nothing but freeway miles on hot days (80F+) with the a/c, and speeds of 70 to 80 it has not burned any oil. The level has not moved one bit, and this is an engine that previously ate engine oil, sometimes over a quart a thousand miles. The clean cycle is being done with Delo 400, 15w-40, replacing a 20w-50 synthetic. Something good is happening inside this engine with ARX, already. I'm hoping that the heat from driving 200 miles today at close to 90F and 75 to 85mph, will help ARX to do a good job of cleaning the engine out, especially those valve seals on this three valve Honda motor.
