I know the new stuff is SN but I can't find an updated SN PDS. There is a updated Edge Professional 0w40 from the UK that has been updated to SN.

Nice, now Belgium has three claims to fame. THREE!

1) Fries (they are NOT from France),
2) Trappist ale,
3) 0w40 Castrol!

Fries, beer, and good oil? Maybe the Belgians know something we don't...

That stupid matrix with a checkmark next to "fuel saving" is a flat-out lie. It's not API resource conserving, nor is an HTHS value of 3.5+ designed for good fuel economy.

Hi guys. Their Australian website a has good load technical data sheets too. See http://www.tds.castrol.com.au/default.aspx

- Porsche: A40
- VW: 502 00 / 505 00

TYPICAL CHARACTERISTICS
SAE Rating : 0W-40
KV @ 100°C : 13.1 cSt
KV @ 40°C : 79 cSt
CCS @ - 35°C : 5,950 cP
High Temp High Shear Viscosity : 3.6
Pour Point : -60 °C

Note: The low friction characteristics of Castrol EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 make it unsuitable for most motorcycles that incorporate wet clutches in combined engine and transmission systems. Castrol’s prime recommendation for this application is Castrol Power 1 Racing R4.

Naw, it's aimed at people running 40 weights. It will be on the thin side for a 40, I imagine that's where that comes from.

The reported pour point is actually -60C.

Thanks! Just picked up 6q from the AAP bogo sale. My engine was a bit on the noisy side with GC. PU 5w40 fixed it up and reduced consumption but paying for full retail from amazon wasn't quite in my budget.

hopefully this stuff will do the trick

matt922, let us know how you like it.

I was interested in giving it a try, but none of my local AAP stores carry it and were not able/willing to special order it. I still find it weird that it is the southern part of the country that has is available, considering it's a "0W-". Hopefully the availability will improve over time, alas the BOGO sale is now over.
