One is PS-1010 ($5) and other HP-1010 ($10)? Does the nut cost $5 or are there any other significant differences?

The PS is a "regular" premium filter akin to any other name brand you might find on the shelf. The HP has better more media, stouter components, etc. "Super" premium if you will. I have not seen and efficiency specs for the PS yet. They might be the same as the HP, or even better, since the HPs are not amongst the most stellar of the oil filters in the market ( the specs I have show several HPs in the 99% @ 25-30 um, which is not exceptional).

You can see one cut open Here if you scroll down

Jim, read the thread you ref'ed and can see that the PS is not someting I'd want on my '13 Accord with M1 or PP that I'll run for 10K. I'll stick with M1, Bosch, NAPA Plat (if they go on sale) or might even give XG a try.

Thanks for info. I tried search and couldn't come up with good info like you supplied. Prob not putting in right searh terms.
