Long term effects of LC/FP on engine

Are there any negative long term effects of LC/FP to worry about on engines. Could the ingredients increase seal wear,gaskets,injector wear, or affect sensors - things that might not show up until after many miles of use.

I ask this because of my bias to avoid additives for regular use because the car manuals say not to use them. (cover their arse because of bad products on the market).

My stance (which is changing) is to only use additives as needed to correct a problem (ie - H20 in the fuel tank.

This topic has been discussed many times before but the answer is no, not in the forty plus years of FP/LC.

Maintenance cleaning of fuel system and reduced oxidation and cleanliness of engine has the potential to reduce future problems.
