Anyone knows about this oil? Thinking of using it as a all round oil in both the Jeep 4.0 and the Peugeot 1.6. Found a great deal on it but don't know if it is right. Was looking for A3/B3 but this one is C3. Meaning?

specs: ACEA C3
API SM/CF
BMW Longlife 4
Mercedes-Benz 229.31 & 229.51
VW 502.00/505.00/505.01

All the C3 oils I have bought have been certified to A3/B4 aswell as C3.

The C3 bit is to do with SAPS, that is a low to mid SAPS of the top of my head and is also the correct specs for my Pathfinder Dci.

The cheapest C3 I have found was Castrol Edge FST 5w30 C3 at £30 for four litres at Costco, previous oil was Carlube 5w30 C3 and that was £35 for 5 litres.

If you are getting it for much less than €40 for 4 or 5 litres I would say you are onto a winner if it meets your specs.

The Carlube met my specs but not much info on the oil so changed to a known make that I trust (Castrol).

Never used Total but they are a known "big name" in Europe so why not.

What is the manufacturer recommendation for the jeep and the pug? aren't they 10w-40 or 5w-40?

depends on temp but the jeep says 5w30, 10w30, 10w40. The pug says 5w30, 5w40.
Have been using 5w40 in both for a while so that works fine too. I am considering a 0w40 too but they are a little more expensive, would fit all year, all round use even better.
