OIL REPORT DATE: 9/19/2012
Cummins 6.7L OIL TYPE & GRADE: Valvoline Premium Blue 15W/40
Diesel FUEL TYPE: OIL USE INTERVAL: 10,086 Miles
Oils: VPB /Unit Ave./CTE/VPB/CTE/VPB/CTE/Univ.Ave (Castrol Tection Extra)
COMMENTS: This oil was in use 10,000 miles, but the engine handled it very well indeed. Iron is the only metal noticeably higher than last time, but that metal tracks with time on the oil, so it's not really a concern. Plus, wear metals are looking good compared to universal averages and the other metals stayed low and flat. No fuel or coolant showed up in the oil and air and oil filtration are fine. The TBN was 4.1 showing lots of active additive left; less than 1.0 is low. This engine could honestly handle 12,000 miles on the oil, but 10,000 is working well. Nice report.
