Putting in the second bottle of autorx. 1997 Aerostar 210,000 plus miles. Initial bottle was added to existing GC (new filter) First rinse was with Coastal 5w-30 (new filter).
The intial drain (added extra miles per Frank due to GC)did not show much difference in color. Rinse oil was much darker. This van has been fed mostly top synthetics, mostly Torco, Synergyn and Mobil 1.
During the initial rinse phase, the van started running rough, almost like a miss, for about 700 miles. Then it just started running better. Now it is as good as new. I cannot believe how smooth the old 4.0 V6 is. MPG has not changed however.
Will update after final rinse. So far, so good!
