I ordered 2 bottles of A-RX yesterday. I will be using it for my 93 VW Eurovan 5cyl. It has 260K KM and I have a good feeling the engine is very dirty. It had some issues with mixing water and oil through the oil cooler. I remember once I took out 5 spoon full worth of white greece from under the oil cap.
should I use any dino oil for the ARX application or should I diesel oil to clean even more?
What do you guys suggest?
This car has been running on dino oil (crappy no name oil) for years. Oil was changed at 5000 KM and sometimes left in there for 6 months or 12,000KM. It loses about 1 L of oil per 3000 km since it was new. No cahnge in oil consumption. It does not smoke either.
