Might not keep the car forever. 1987 Audi Coupe GT I-5 2.2. It has 180k, but the engine is relatively clean. Wondering if I can do a full treatment, (clean+rinse) then go for a small maintenance dose with an extended drain? Sound ok? Seals are not bad, just wet and car burns less oil than ANY other car I service, 1q/4000-5000 miles.

If my car is any example you need both treatments. Of course my milage was higher at 250,000 but the second treatment seem to break loose a lot of gunk as the rinse oil was the dirtest I have seen in the engine. Seals leaked in the second rinse and resealed quickly. Did not have any seal leaks at the start but sludge must have made a false seal. This engine received 3000 mile changes with Castrol GTX.
Of course the oil consumption dropped after the first cleaning cycle so the ring packs must have
been cleaned in that cycle. You seem not to need this as bad as I did.
